Rutland Plastic Technologies announces the intent to move forward with the Claira non-phthalate screen printing ink platform. This represents a commitment to offering a full range of non-phthalate ink products including whites, clears, specialties and ink mixing systems according to Tony Chapman, Technical Services Director. "We are proud that this monumental step toward recognizing our customers’ requirements, as well as those of the regulatory agencies, affirms our leadership role in this important industry," said Chapman in announcing this initiative.

Rutland is pleased to announce Flo Freilinger as our new International Sales Director. Flo joins the company from MHM Group, Austria, and he brings a wealth of experience in the sale of screen printing equipment and first hand knowledge of the important role of our distributor partners.
A new, full line of Rutland ready-for-use non-phthalate stock colors was introduced at the Long Beach ISS show earlier this year. These twenty-two vibrant, high opacity colors come in two series:
- NPT High Opacity RFU Series (product designation EH) is a press-ready plastisol for printing on 100% cotton garments or over a low-bleed underlay on poly/cotton blends.
- NPT HO Low Bleed RFU Series (product designation EL) is a press-ready plastisol for printing on polyester and poly/cotton blends.
These inks provide good bleed resistance and brilliant colors when printed in a lower mesh range and used over a low-bleed white. You can see these colors now by viewing the ready-for-use color card.
Rutland Plastic Technologies has expanding its global reach by acquiring a warehouse in Hong Kong. This new location will expedite product distribution to dealers and their customers.

Rutland Plastics Technologies in Pineville, NC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Rutland Holdings, and Dhaval Color Chem Pvt. Ltd., with sister company Creative Industries, both in Mumbai, India, announced their joint venture to manufacture, service, and market unique plastisol and PVC-free textile printing inks.
The new manufacturing facility, development lab and sales office, located in India, will service India and the Indian subcontinent, Asia, Europe, North and South America and other regions.
“Expanding our global reach has been a top priority for the company, and our long-term relationship with Dhaval Color presented an outstanding partnership opportunity. We look forward to providing the screen print industry with the world’s most advanced ink technology,” stated Dennis Gunson, Rutland Holdings’ Former Chief Executive Officer.
