Should you try to adjust this color or start over? CROSS MULTIPLY FIRST!!!
CROSS MULTIPLY:
41,180 x 5 - .005 = 41.180# WHITE TO ADJUST COLOR…STOP AND START OVER!!!
AN ADDITIONAL 41,138.82# WOULD BE NEEDED TO COMPENSATE FOR THE ADDITIONAL RED.
Without cross-multiplying adjustments would only continue to increase volume. The change in color would be insignificant because the red is so strong. Remember, in the original formula there are only .005 parts of red for every 41.180 parts of white. Obviously, the color would be too red. Once the formula is rechecked the mistake is usually easy to pinpoint.
